Vermilion Watershed Open House

The Vermilion River Watershed Open House will take place April 6, 2024 from 11 am to 6 pm in Vermilion, Ohio featuring nature and wildlife exhibits, including birds of prey and watershed wildlife by award winning “Back to the Wild” - a Wildlife Rehabilitation & Nature Education Center. View eagles, owls, snakes and other rescued wildlife. The event takes place in the VOL Community Center at 3780 Edgewater Boulevard in Vermilion.Additional exhibitors include Vermilion Tree Commission, Vermilion In Bloom, Lorain County Woodcarvers, Erie County Health, Beaver Creek Watershed Association, Western Reserve Land Conservancy, Lorain County Metro Parks, Erie MetroParks, Ohio Environmental Council, Sea Grant, Ritter Library, Common Ground, Erie County Recycling, Ohio Clean Marina, Lake Erie Shores & Islands, and Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The event and parking are free, with food and beverages available for a donation. Held in the Vermilion-on-the-Lake Historic Community Center, donations benefit the ongoing efforts to preserve and promote the log cabin built in 1919, and support Back to the Wild wildlife refuge.
